In 1987 the Raglan Community House opened in rented premises staffed entirely by volunteers. In 1990, a full time coordinator was appointed. After four years of fund raising, planning and construction, the new house opened at 45 Bow Street, Raglan.

Today, the Raglan Community House is a progressive organisation dedicated to meeting the diverse needs of the community. With a range of programs and services designed to foster growth, wellness, and connection, the Raglan Community House is more than just a building - it's a hub of support and empowerment - it's a home.

Our Values

Include Integrity, Respect, Empowerment and Social Justice.
Raglan Community House recognises that Aotearoa New Zealand is a 'bi-cultural' nation. An equal partnership between iwi Maori (Maori tribes) and the British Crown, mediated by the founding document 'Te Tiriti o Waitangi' (The Treaty of Waitangi).

Our Vision

Our vision for Whaaingaroa (Raglan) is for a safe and healthy community.

Our Mission

Through our work:

the Raglan community is connected to the services and networks that can provide assistance and support;

the Raglan community is safe, healthy and resilient;

the Raglan community is a place where people look out for one another.
