The Raglan Community House has a 40 seat (maximum) basement meeting room available for hire (days and evenings). We also have small interview rooms, 3 seat (maximum) available on request and our Counselling room is available to hire on Mondays only. The Raglan Community House lounge is also available for evening and weekend hire. 

The basement meeting room, lounge,  interview room and counselling room can be hired by the hour, half day or day. 

Room hire charges

These prices are correct as of 31 March 2022 (all charges are GST inclusive).

Standard rates

  • Interview room: $15 per hour, $50 per half day, $80 per day.
  • Basement meeting room***/Counselling room/Lounge: $20 per hour, $70 per half day, $100 per day.
  • ***Please note – there is an additional $10 service charge per booking for the Basement meeting room only
  • Projector and screen hire: $50.

Community rates

  • Interview room: $10 per hour, $30 per half day, $45 per day.
  • Basement meeting room***/Lounge/Counselling room: $15 per hour, $40 per half day, $60 per day.
  • ***Please note – there is an additional $10 service charge per booking for the Basement meeting room only
  • Projector and screen hire: $25.

Trestle Table Hire

  • $10 per day for one table, plus a refundable $20 bond

Wheelchair Hire

  • $5 per day / $20 per week plus a refundable $20 bond

As corporate owners of the premises, The Raglan Community House has precedence in the use of the premises. The Society has the right to refuse use of the premises to any group or organisation.

Conditions and user responsibility

  1. Bookings are to be made at the Raglan Community House during office hours (9.00am – 4.00pm).
  2. If the room hire is after hours keys can be collected from the Raglan Community House during office hours (9.00am – 4.00pm).  The person who collects the key will be responsible for the locking of the building and placing the key in the return box.  In the event that the key is lost The Raglan House may decide either to replace the locks and permanent keys or replace the key – either action will be at the cost of the hirer.
  3. Payment for hire can be made on the day of hire or we can invoice you at the end of the month.Please ensure you provide us with an email address and contact details.
  4. No decorations are to be attached to any wall, door, ceiling or window surfaces.
  5. If using the premises during opening hours please take into consideration other users of the Raglan Community House and keep noise to a minimum.
  6. The premises will be left clean, tidy and ready for use.  Any need to clean the rooms following hire will be charged to the hirer.  Any damage to equipment will be charged to the user organisation.
  7. The Raglan Community House is an alcohol, drug and smoke free environment; this includes all the building, the veranda and grounds.
  8. When closing the building ensure all windows are closed and locked where locks are fitted.
  9. All items of furniture moved are to be returned to their original position.
  10. Please ensure all heaters, lights and taps are turned off.
  11. The premises are to be vacated by 11.00pm.
  12. Please report any breakages and negotiate payment for same with the House Manager.
  13. Please lock or monitor the front door.  Only members of the hiring group and the Raglan Community House staff or Committee are authorised to be on the premises.
  14. A call out fee of $20.00 may be charged if a member of staff has to be called to the Raglan Community House outside of office hours.
